Matt is a first-year PhD student in the Human-Centered Computing program at Georgia Tech, which is situated in the School of Interactive Computing. He is currently working with Blair MacIntyre and the AEL on Project Wonderland. Project Wonderland is exploring the use of mixed reality and augmented reality to combine a virtual environment with ubiquitous computing objects. The project aims to create a persistent, collaborative workspace that supports both the long and short-term co-presence that comes from sharing a traditional physical environment.
Matt is still in the process of narrowing down his research interests – computer supported collaborative work, ubiquitous computing and novel interface design. Mixed and augmented reality are excellent avenues to explore these interests!
Prior to working at Georgia Tech, Matt received a B.S. in Computer Science from the University of Michigan in 2008, where he also worked as an undergraduate with Lada Adamic in the UM School of Information.
